Nestling in the East Lothian countryside just 25 minutes from Edinburgh city centre, Winton combines the grandeur of a castle with the intimacy of a family home. Dating back to 1620 the house boasts some of the most impressive Jacobean architecture and plaster work that you will find in Scotland. Guests are most welcome at this beautiful, relaxed family home; with freedom to explore all 7 rooms with their roaring log fires and impressive array of artwork. The gardens are not to be missed and can be used to host wedding ceremonies and drinks receptions on a sunny day and provide a wonderful and unique backdrop for your photographs. Ceremonies and wedding breakfasts of up to 130 guests can take place in the house with larger weddings of up to 400 accommodated in a marquee which we can arrange to be erected on our croquet lawn adjacent to the house. Once the celebrations are concluded the wedding party can retreat to one of our 8 in house bedrooms with the bride and groom experiencing the luxury and privacy of our newly refurbished bridal suite.
