Rosebery Steading

If you are in search of a gorgeous stand-out venue for your wedding - look no further than Rosebery Steading.

Set in the Midlothian countryside, just a stone’s throw from Edinburgh, this 200-year old ‘farm toun’ was lovingly restored and launched to the wedding market in 2021 to provide a magnificent Scottish barn venue, complete with luxury accommodation and private grounds. The historic and spectacular steeple and doo-cot make for impressive photograph backdrops in the cobbled courtyard.

Original features meld with contemporary design throughout the interiors of the Steading’s cottages and two expansive light-filled barns. The Hayloft and The Threshing Barn accommodate 100 guests seated, with the ambience instilled by the innovative sound systems and state-of-the-art lighting. Rosebery Steading’s contemporary cottage accommodation can cater for 28 guests in five stunning properties.

Rosebery House

The beautiful country mansion, Rosebery House, holds cherished memories as a family holiday home for the Primrose family and is now available on an exclusive hire basis for first-class weddings.

The light-filled orangery provides an uplifting space for a drinks reception or dining for up to 60 guests, with warm stone walls and large windows giving the feeling of feasting outdoors on a perfect summer’s day. The ten opulent bedrooms and additional living spaces all boast historic elegance.

Rosebery House can also be reserved exclusively by those having weddings at Rosebery Steading as an additional accommodation option. It even has a secluded chapel within its extensive grounds, providing a unique opportunity for intimate, exclusive wedding ceremonies.

Barnbougle Castle

Straight from a Scottish legend, Barnbougle Castle is an exceptional waterside venue set on the stunning banks of the Firth of Forth and surrounded by the secluded parklands of Dalmeny Estate. Built in the 13th century, its immaculately preserved heritage provides an out of this world experience for guests at exclusive-hire weddings.

Clink champagne flutes on the outdoor terrace overlooking the expansive private beaches or steal a moment of reprieve from the dancefloor in a comfortable armchair in the Reading Room. You can even rehearse your wedding speech from the same Speakers Gallery where the 5th Earl of Rosebery and Ex-Prime Minister, Archibald Primrose, once practiced his Parliamentary speeches.

Not to mention the spectacular 60-foot-long barrel-vaulted Banqueting Hall, which is truly unbeatable as a setting for a next-level wedding banquet.
