I am a professionally trained harpist and clarsach player with a great deal of experience of performing at many prestigious Scottish venues such as Prestonfield House and the Gleneagles hotel. I offer a wide selection of popular, Scottish and classical music for your ceremony and/or drinks reception and am happy to discuss music options with you.

Whatever you choose whether the romantic A Thousand Years, Glasgow Love Theme or I can’t stop falling in love with you, something Scottish like My love is like a red, red rose or Gift of a Thistle or classical options like Here comes the bride or Bach Prelude in C I can cater for your requirements. Songs with special personal meaning to you can be looked into to see how well they suit the harp. Most do. Glasgow Love Theme and I see the light are examples of couples’ requests which I now have as part of my selection.

Harp and clarsach both have the ability to adapt to whichever setting you choose whether it is a hotel, castle, stately home, barn or private garden. Outside settings are also possible as I discovered during the gradual opening up of choices in 2021 when many people chose a smaller, more informal style wedding celebration.

For the wedding ceremony itself harp music will be equally effective with however many guests you choose to have. For drinks the harp is more in the background but can still contribute to creating a relaxing atmosphere as well as entertaining guests while photos are being taken.
