Our Highland Lodges

Our comfortable and characterful Highland lodges offer a secluded setting for intimate wedding celebrations with friends and family. Choose from Kindrochet Lodge or Tulliemet House, both different in style and character, but equally romantic and inviting.

Each offers extensive garden space with incredible views across the Atholl Estate and woodland walks from the door. Our lodges sleep up to sixteen guests, with capacity for fifty guests with the addition of a marquee.

Alongside our two Highland Lodges, Clachan Cottage has an adjoining large recreational space that can be used for a small wedding celebration. It works particularly well when taken with Clachan Farmhouse, thus allowing several families to come together in one space.

There is also a fire pit, ideal for keeping warm whilst gazing up at the starlit skies of the Highland.

Mairi & Craig’s Wedding at Blair Castle

Mairi and Craig got married at Blair Castle in 2018 when the “Beast from the East” hit, here in her own words Mairi tells us about her wedding experience at the Castle:

‘We had the most amazing wedding at Blair Castle in March 2018 and have such fond memories of an incredibly special weekend. There was a bit of drama running up to our wedding day due to the “Beast from the East” snowstorm causing travel disruption for us, our guests, and our suppliers. We’ll always remember the feeling of relief, gratitude and tremendous excitement when our loved ones started safely arriving into Blair Atholl the night before we were due to get married, and suppliers went above and beyond to reassure us that everything would work out.

We didn’t view many wedding venues as we fell in love with Blair Castle the first time we visited. Around half of our guests were travelling up from England and from overseas, many of whom had never attended a Scottish wedding before. We therefore wanted to make the day feel as Scottish as possible and the beautiful Blair Castle ticked all the boxes, in particular the stunning ballroom. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and we worked closely with them to put in place the plans for our perfect day. They listened to us and were happy to be flexible in accommodating our vision.

We worked with some wonderful local suppliers and everything went smoothly on the day. We had a very personal humanist ceremony followed by a fabulous meal and a lot of dancing. It was such a memorable day and although it was freezing outside, the snow made for beautiful photos in the castle grounds.

One of the most memorable moments of the day was the arrival of the Vale of Atholl Pipe Band in the castle grounds shortly after the ceremony. Our guests gathered at the doors to the Banvie Hall in awe to watch and listen to the performance. It still gives us goosebumps when we think back to it!’
